Creating a VIVERSE/HTC account and setting up your Viverse Profile

Create an Account

  1. Visit viverse.com.
  2. Click Sign In in the top right corner. You’ll be presented with a window to sign into an existing account. Below that sign-in form will be the Create New Account link. Click that link to begin registration.

     
  3. When filling out the registration form, you'll notice that you can use an existing Google, Steam, MetaMask, or WalletConnect account to sign up for a HTC/VIVERSE account. Otherwise, sign up using your email address.
  4. Once the account creation is complete and you’ve verified your email address, you’ll be automatically logged into your VIVERSE/HTC account.

 

Account Display Name and ID

Logging in to Viverse for the first time, you'll be presented with VIVERSE's Terms of Use. Click Agree to accept the term. The system will then automatically assign you a random Avatar to represent you in Viverse. Next, you’ll need to set a Display Name and User ID to complete the creation of your account.



The Display Name is the name that will appear above your active avatar when browsing VIVERSE Worlds. This name can be changed at any time, and does not need to be unique. See Changing your display name.

The User ID, however, is a unique account name that is attached to your Profile URL and cannot be changed or deleted.

Once you've settled on what you want to use, click Done. You will then be redirected to the Viverse homepage, where you could begin exploring different Worlds!

Update Your Profile

By default, your profile will be automatically filled out with Worlds you've published, favorited Worlds by other creators, and then creators you've followed to stay on top of their updates. To further customize what users see, you can update your profile to add additional content.

 

Fill Out Your VIVERSE Profile

To get started, click your profile icon at the top right of your VIVERSE account, then click My Profile.

You’ll be presented with an internal view of your profile content, where you can add or change several key features to help shape the public profile that everyone sees when they click on your user ID.

 

Customizable Area

Further customizations to your profile can be made by adding/updating the following sections:

  • Update the banner photo that appears at the top of your profile.
  • Add or remove a custom profile image to help recognition across the platform.
  • Include a biography statement or paragraph, describing who you are, your background, your interests or inspirations, and more.
  • Your social media accounts (YouTube, X, Discord, Facebook, Instagram, and Bluesky), where VIVERSE users can find and engage with you. 
  • Add showcase items, up to 25 photos and/or videos, to tease your content to viewers and entice them to click to your published World(s).
    You can edit information like your display name, add a bio, and upload images and video to showcase your content.

 

Additional Profile Features

The following profile features are also visible and they dynamically update as you Follow creators and Favorite experiences:

  • Published Worlds you've made and uploaded to be hosted on VIVERSE.
  • Creators you follow appear on your profile so others can find and explore their content.
  • Worlds you’ve favorited to revisit later appear on your profile to share what you've enjoyed on the platform.
    Furthermore, you can share content to your public profile like your published VIVERSE Worlds, creators you follow, and Worlds that you've favorited.

 

Finalize Your Profile

When you’ve completed your profile updates, save your changes. You can then click the Public Profile button at the top of the page to view what other VIVERSE users will see.
