Adding the Polygon network in MetaMask

The MetaMask extension and mobile app have the Ethereum network added by default. You need to manually add the Polygon network.

1. Go to the network settings screen:

• In the MetaMask extension:
  Click the network icon in the upper left, and then click Add network manually.
  
  
  
• In the MetaMask app:
  Tap the Settings button, then go to Networks > Add network and select the Custom networks tab.

2. Enter a network name. (For example, “Polygon Main Network”.)
3. Configure the following settings as specified:
   - RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com
   - Chain ID: 137
   - Symbol: MATIC
   - Block Explorer URL (optional): https://polygonscan.com/ 
   
   
4. Save your settings.
