Installing the MetaMask extension

If you’re using Market in your computer’s web browser, you'll need to install the MetaMask extension so you can access your MetaMask wallet. Here’s how:

1. Go to https://metamask.io/download/ and download the MetaMask extension for your browser.
2. Follow the onscreen prompts to install the MetaMask extension.
3. When the landing page appears, follow the walkthrough instructions to import your wallet.
   Note: If you don’t have an existing MetaMask wallet, follow the walkthrough instructions to create one before proceeding with the remaining steps. You can also refer to How do I create a MetaMask wallet? to see how to create a wallet.
4. After installing the extension and importing your wallet, check for the MetaMask button  on the browser toolbar.
   

If you don't see the MetaMask button, open the Extensions menu and make the button visible. For example, in Chrome, click to open the Extensions menu, and then click  to pin the MetaMask button to the toolbar.
